If you saw the last live stream where we were testing out the screen sharing capabilities, you know we concluded we weren't going to be able to do what we needed to do given the current limitations of Locals. I was told that RTMP streaming was in beta testing and wasn't currently available to all users, so we would have to wait a bit until testing was complete for a full rollout. Well, after showing Sarah at Locals Support my issues with audio, she discussed it with the tech team and they decided to give our little community the go ahead to use the beta RTMP live streaming! This means I'll be able to stream from OBS with a key and enjoy all the capabilities of sharing video and audio from websites! Join me in thanking Sarah and the Locals Support Team for allowing us to do this. It's going to really help grow the community.
Next live stream will be a test of this new capability. I hope you'll join me. We'll aim for maybe Wednesday.

The studio-captured audio is not added yet. This is just a rough video mix with the RAW camera guide audio for the drums and guitar ONLY! So this is what the drums and rhythm guitar are sounding like in the room by themselves with no close miking and no post processing (other than a bit of compression and EQ). I am actually kind of shocked how good this is sounding even though one of the camera mics (the one for the drums) is from a DJI Action Cam and the other (for the guitar) is a Panasonic camcorder mic. Usually when making this kind of demo, the raw camera mic audio acts as a guide when lining up video clips on the editing timeline and then gets deleted from the final timeline before publishing. In some cases, I will even mix in a hint of the raw camera microphones with the studio mix to give ...
